Jesse Smith’s Farm Shop in Cirencester are excited to be looking for a dedicated and experienced bookkeeper to join our growing and friendly office team, based in our Head Office on Love Lane. This is a part time position of 25 hours a week and we are happy to offer flexibility on start and finish times, ideally over 4 days.

Established in 1808, we run 5 retail shops, a production kitchen and wholesale unit. We have also recently opened Knead bakery in town and have further exciting growth plans in the pipeline!

Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with the day-to-day purchase ledger
· Assisting with sales ledger, when required
· Invoice date inputting and delivery note application
· Processing sales and purchase invoices
· Reconciling the banks
· Helping the office team with the phones and the smooth running of the office
· Assisting with managing the utilities for the property portfolio, when required
· General bookkeeping

Key Requirements:
· Prior experience within a bookkeeper position
· Confident in processing accounts on Xero
· Competent across Sales Leger to assist when required
· Good PC skills, including good working knowledge of Excel
· Excellent attention to detail
· A real team player, self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude

Marketing Assistant
Jesse Smith’s, Cirencester
£20,000 - £28,000 DOE
Full time, Monday – Friday
Jesse Smith’s Farm Shop in Cirencester are excited to be looking for a creative individual to be based at our Head Office on Love Lane. This is a brand new role to our business and we are looking for someone who is eager to make a difference to a family run business, have their ideas heard and be apart of exciting growth plans!

Established in 1808, we run 5 retail shops, a production kitchen and wholesale unit. We have also recently opened Knead bakery in town, which you will also be running marketing activities for.

As a Marketing Assistant you will be working closely with the Directors of the company in ways to drive the business forward. We are looking for a self-motived individual who has a creative flair with innovative ideas, along with previous experience within a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
· Create and organise advertising campaigns and develop marketing strategies
· Compose and post online content on the company’s website and manage the     company’s social media accounts/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter, both for Jesse   Smith’s and Knead
· Organise promotional events, traditional and digital campaigns and attend   them to facilitate their success
· Design and write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc.) to     increase the company’s presence in the market
· Create videos of new products/promoting certain products and upload across   the various platforms
· Conduct market research and analyse customer rating reports/questionnaires

Key Requirements:
· A real creative flair with previous experience within a creative position
· A good grasp across social media platforms
· To be proactive and innovative
· Computer literate across all Microsoft platforms, including Publisher and Excel
· Excellent organisation with the ability to manage various tasks at once
· Willing to be flexible and assist with ad hoc duties when required
· Self-motivated and eager to bring new ideas forward

A full driving license will be required as we will require you to occasionally travel to our other shops.

Business Support Apprenticeship
Jesse Smith’s, Cirencester
£180 per week, £6.00 per hour
9am – 4pm, Monday – Friday with 1 hour for lunch

Jesse Smith’s are a family run business, running 5 retail shops throughout the Cotswolds with a wholesale catering unit and production kitchen at our site on Love Lane, Cirencester. Starting in 1808 in the centre of Cirencester, Jesse Smith’s now delivers all over the Cotswolds and further afield.

We have recently opened Knead bakery in Cirencester and have further exciting plans for expansion!

This is a truly fantastic opportunity to work within a growing company to assist the office team across a variety of roles, with exciting prospects at the end of your apprenticeship. You will work alongside managers and be in frequent contact with the Directors of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Working within a friendly office environment to assist in a variety of tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to;

  • Answering the telephones and providing an excellent service.
  • Assisting managers with their stock control by taking on the purchase ordering and maintaining records.
  • Distribution and manning of health and safety records.
  • Taking sales orders and processing for the catering team.
  • Liaising with our other shops to prepare shop food labels and various other requirements.
  • Some social media work to assist with the promotion of our brand.
  • General administrative duties.

As this apprenticeship will expose you to a large range of office duties, it is a superb training opportunity to set you up for your future.
